Having graduated from Calcutta University with a Bachelor of
Commerce, I’ve built my career around FP&A. Over nine years of
expanding my knowledge and skills in Accounting, Finance, Planning
& Budgeting, Auditing, and Taxation; has led me to roles such as Head
of Accounts and Finance in one of the chemical divisions of the Aditya
Birla Group. I aim to balance my personal passions, which allow me
to stay physically active, mentally sharp, and socially engaged; with
professional aspirations, and this commitment to continual growth and
learning is one of the reasons that I appreciate the Thailand (Bangkok)
Chapter of the ICAI. The Chapter has greatly enriched my career, and
we’ve helped foster a vibrant community, offering invaluable networking
and professional growth opportunities in Thailand

As a seasoned CA and holder of the distinguished CMA Rank with a 12-
year career predominantly within the steel and petrochemical industries,
I’ve been honoured to have worked at companies such as Jindal Steel
and Power Ltd.; Usha Martin Steel Ltd.; and Indorama Ventures Ltd.,
where I had the pivotal role of Site CFO in Indonesia, contributing
significantly to operational efficiency and financial health.I moved to
the IVL Corporate office in Bangkok in 2020, leading as the financial
analyst driving strategic decisions and ensuring fiscal prudence. Being
part of the Thailand (Bangkok) Chapter of the ICAI has provided me
with recognition, credibility, and ongoing professional development
opportunities and growth. As an ICAI member in Thailand, I’ve personally
benefited from enhanced career opportunities, professional recognition,
and access to a supportive network of fellow professionals. Being part of
the Chapter has provided me with a platform to continually upgrade my
skills, stay updated with industry trends, and connect with like-minded
individuals; including peers who align with my proactive approach to
financial stewardship and wealth creation.

GAURAV KHANDELWAL

As a CA, CFA Charter-holder, and Company Secretary ranked 3 in all of
India, I began my career in Mumbai, but I’ve spent the last three years
in Bangkok, expanding my global perspective. Having graduated with a
Bachelor of Commerce from Calcutta University, I’m passionate about
the stock market and investment opportunities, and I’m grateful for the
Thailand (Bangkok) Chapter in allowing me the platform to showcase
my abilities, and continue growing both personally and professionally.

As a Management Committee member, the Chapter has also given me
unparalleled networking opportunities, and I’ve had the privilege of
connecting with seniors and contemporaries alike. Attending the chapter’s
technical events has been invaluable in expanding my knowledge base
across different subjects.

RACHANA HEGDE

With degrees from ICAI and the Chartered Institute of Management
Accountants (CIMA) in the UK, I’ve spent wonderful years in the Middle
East and Africa before landing in Bangkok with my family. Aside from
being a qualified accountant, I’m a full-time mother, a role I cherish the
most. My husband and I are both members of the ICAI, and wherever
we’ve lived outside India, the ICAI Chapter has been an integral part
of our lives, as we made sure to actively participation in each chapter’s
many events and activities. We’ve both been associated with the Thailand
(Bangkok) Chapter since 2023, and I feel privileged to be part of the
Management Committee, which has given me newfound respect for all
past and present Committee members for their perseverance, dedication,
and determination to carry on the ICAI’s mission against all odds.
