What circumstances made you decide on teaching instead?
I wanted to do something productive while waiting to leave for university
abroad. So I helped out at a new kindergarten, and instantly fell in love
with the place, the children and what being a teacher meant. Without
a doubt in my mind, I changed my life around and applied to different
universities in Australia to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education.
That was the beginning of a beautiful journey that has led me to become I helped out at a new

What is your ‘never say never’ experience?
Prior to choosing to join my mother’s business, I was convinced that I would go the
corporate direction with a job in marketing. In fact, I never even contemplated wedding
planning as an option. I had studied marketing in college and after returning to Thailand,

What incidents inspired you to choose differently?

more engaged and discovered that this was exactly what I wanted to do.
I learnt not to be so So what did you learn from your experience?

What is your ‘never say never’ experience?
Diving. For as long as I can remember, I was not adventurous enough to
snorkel or dive. I didn’t understand the concept of having fi sh near me and I
also had a fear of drowning. Furthermore, the open water really terrifi es me.
It’s the same feeling of being enveloped in complete darkness.
What circumstances led you to voluntarily choose to be in that situation?
There are two main reasons. First, I voluntarily agreed to get an open diving
water license with my husband during our honeymoon because I wanted to
