        INVINCIBLE SEASON 2 (PRIME VIDEO)
Based on the comics by Robert Kirkman – creator
of The Walking Dead (2010-2022) – Invincible
(2021- ) is the story of Mark Grayson, a 17-year-old
high schooler who learns how to be a superhero
under the guidance of his father, Omni-Man.
Last season, it was revealed that *spoiler alert*
Omni-Man is an evil Viltrumite and was not sent
to save Earth, but rather to weaken it for an easy
takeover. After being beaten bloody by his father
in the season finale, Mark struggles to rebuild
his life and fight other invaders as Earth’s new
mightiest hero. Expect more alien creatures, gory
violence, and all-new planets and dimensions to
explore. Invincible stars Steven Yeun as Mark
Grayson, J.K. Simmons as Omni-Man, Sandra Oh
as Debbie Grayson, Gillian Jacobs as Atom Eve,

avail. Now, Calvin must train his son Cal to fill
his shoes while he fends off new villain Magnus
Antas AKA the Mad Santa, played by Modern
        Family (2009-2020) star Eric Stonestreet.
Additionally, Season 2 also expands on the lore
of the show with Santopolis, a new amusement
park run by elves complete with a giant
Christmas museum. With the set decorators
imbuing fudge, peppermint, vanilla swirls, and
marble cake into the Victorian-style architecture
of the sets, this new season is sure to be a feast
for the eyes and loads of family-friendly fun.

        THE KILLER (NETFLIX)
Legendary director of Fight Club (1999), The
Social Network (2010), and Gone Girl (2014), David
Fincher returns with his 13th feature film: The
Killer. The movie follows Michael Fassbender
as an unnamed assassin who goes on a murder
rampage after a hit goes wrong. Early reviews are
calling it a “pulpy paperback” of a film, complete
with chapter titles and sharp social commentary
on the gig economy we live in. With a tense and
menacing accompanying score by Reznor and
Ross, and a scene-stealing performance by Tilda
Swinton, The Killer proves that even 30 years
since he started, Fincher’s vision and craft are
        sharp as ever.
