magnificent wedding events, Avi Sethi and Prab Kohli held a grand
Wwedding extravaganza at the Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, with an
array of Thai food and unique Thai touches such as folk dancers and drummers.
Newlywed Prab walks us through the four unforgettable days of festivities.

Why was this resort the perfect wedding venue?
“They’re very experienced with Indian weddings. They PRAB
came highly recommended, and they had an Indian chef to
accommodate our culinary needs. Everything was clean, paramount because we used almost all the spaces in the
modern, and maintained to a very high standard, which was hotel: both ballrooms, the club, the oceanfront, and the island
lawns. The food was excellent in both quantity and quality,
with three to four cuisines at each event.”

Did you have any themes for your wedding?
“Yes, we had a theme for every event! The themes were as
follows: summer soirée for the welcome dinner; full moon for

the after party; cool and colourful for the mehendi; floral for
both weddings; royal and regal for the sangeet; and finally,

winter wonderland for the reception.”
Which event did you enjoy the most and why?

“The after-party the first night. We were both quite nervous
about the welcome dinner but by the after-party we were
very relaxed. The music was great and it was lovely to see
everyone so casual and carefree.”

Did you use a specific jeweller?

“Yes, Mughal Jewels from New Delhi, who custom-made
everything to perfection.”

Any tips for other couples looking to be wed soon?
“When choosing a venue, prioritise experience in hosting
weddings and the food quality. Choose a friendly,
well-recommended wedding planner with experience who
always involves you in the decisions. Finally, always check
the weather and rainfall patterns.”
