                     ‘MY SAWASDEE’ TRAIN ROUTE
                     FROM BANGKOK TO PENANG

All aboard! Thailand and Malaysia have of cially revived the
My Sawasdee express train route – a direct train service between
Bangkok and Butterworth in Penang, Malaysia; with the inaugural
journey set to depart before the year wraps up. After the State
Railway of Thailand suspended the express route in 2016, travellers
to Penang have had to switch trains in Padang Besar. However,
this return marks a thrilling resurgence in rail travel across Asia,
especially following the success of the Asean Express train linking
           Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, and China.
