Where There’s a Need,
There’s a Lion
On July 5th, 2017, the 33rd President of the Lions Club of
Bangkok Silom 310-D was sworn in at the installation ceremony
that took place at Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok. Harinder Singh
graciously accepted his new position, with a fi erce vision to
‘serve with determination’ —
the motto the club will stand
by during his presidency. The
club was founded in 1984 by
Dr. Krasae Chanwongse, with
members present from both
Thai and Indian communities.
Masala sat down with President Harinder to
learn more about the club’s aspirations.
What is the Lions Club about?
The Lions Club is the world’s largest service
club organisation with more than 1.4 million
members in 46,000 clubs around the world.
