in our Everyday Foods
It is time you discovered what is actually
in your daily meals.

he temptation to indulge in dessert is simply irresistible, especially
for us Thai Indians. Because although our roots began in India,
T living in Thailand has exposed us to three different cultures,
meaning three different palates. We love our gulaab jamun, chocolate cake
and khao niew mamuang equally. We wear Western-style clothes, hum
Bollywood tunes and genuinely enjoy Thai flavours!
Recently, we have also become more conscious about eating sensibly
and healthily. When trying to lose weight, the first plan of action is to
intentionally avoid sugary and sweet treats, opting for low-fat yoghurt
rather than normal dairy, and picking whole wheat foods while avoiding
white products. However, in spite of making such an enormous effort, our
bodies don’t show much change. So is avoiding sugary desserts really
enough? And are sugar free foods really “sugar free”?
