What is your process when you’re writing a story?
I don’t have a theme or an idea. I just write as it comes to me
naturally, when I notice my natural surroundings. I observe a lot
of things that happen around me, and then I create a story from
it. For example, I was in India a few years ago and I got into an
accident and broke some bones. It was cold and I never used to
drink tea. I started drinking tea that time because it kept my body
warm. I was so mesmerised by twirling the tea that by the time I
had my third cup from the kettle, it was cold. So moments such as
that one while drinking tea through that period of life inspired me
to write a story on it. It’s called ‘A Season’s Rendezvous with Tea.’
Do you identify yourself as more of an artist or a banker?
It depends on what’s going on in my life at the time. It’s like
when you go out sometimes you feel like having wine and
sometimes you feel like drinking beer. It really depends on
your mood.

Someone very special inspired me to write this.
It is eminent and vital to me –
My existence could have been meaningless.
Not a soul will say
I am at the pinnacle of creation.
Completely distorted so let me be clear;
I met with catastrophe.
Believing that
I initially received it with warmth
Is fruitless. It was tangible that
Causing harm and pain for control and greed
Has a subsequent e ect.
Love, compassion and honesty
Became so senseless.
Disregarding the past
Was tender and I learned to nd peace in it.
Fructifying a gift from the heart
Was something that could not be done.
Relinquishing after loss
Was how I could become limitless.
Thinking e ortlessly
I am convinced that
This is not a palindrome.
Time will disappear in seconds.
How could it be anything else?
Until when love is actually found.
Be patient and don’t be afraid to nd the true meaning –
Please read this in reverse from here.
