UNIQUE GREEK INGREDIENTS FOR YOUR PANTRY

           1. Thyme Honey: Not just any honey, Cretan thyme
honey is considered the best in the world for its flavour.
For a delicious and classic combination, put this on
top of your morning yoghurt when you’re back home.

           2. Ruffles Chips with Oregano: Oregano is a staple in
Greek cuisine, making this crisp flavour-filled with
Greek identity, perfect for the potato chip lover.

           3. Greek Barley Rusk: This healthy, double-baked bread
made with barley flour is consumed with the well-known
Greek dips, or with wine. Barley rusk, called paximadi, is
considered one of the essentials of the Mediterranean diet
and the secret to Cretan longevity!

           4. Sour Cherry Preserve: This is the most popular preserve
in Greece, and is often used as a topping for Greek yoghurt,
or served with platters of cheese and meat.

           5. Pistachios: Pistachios specifically from the Greek island of
Aegina are considered the highest quality in the world. The
variety of pistachios from Aegina (called koilarati) are rare,
and said to be exceptionally delicious. The combination of
the lack of irrigation, proximity to the sea, and the unique
composition of the soil is what leads to the delicious taste.
