TOURISM AUTHORITY
OF THAILAND
heartily congratulate Masala on their much-anticipated eighth
issue of Weddings in Thailand. We greatly value our longstanding
Ipartnership with Masala; their efforts to showcase Thailand as
the perfect destination for Indian weddings have borne fruit, as 2018
was the most robust year thus far for this industry.
Blessed with stunning natural landscapes, ranging from pristine
beaches to verdant rolling hills, our country provides a striking
backdrop for any wedding. Uniquely combined with our inherent
culture of hospitality, vibrant fresh produce and cuisine, and a
large variety of properties able to host celebrations of any size and
specification, Thailand is a highly sought-after venue.
In addition, accessibility to more remote areas is improving rapidly,
and direct international flights to popular locations like Chiang
Mai, Phuket and Rayong are on the rise. Thailand’s reputation as a
convenient, value-added location is making it in-demand for other
occasions, like anniversaries and birthdays, for Indians from all over
the world, especially Hong Kong, Indonesia, Dubai, and Singapore.
It pleases me to see an ever-increasing assortment of venues,
established, new, and refurbished alike, being chosen to host Indian
weddings, and delivering exclusive experiences to families. As we
continue to grow and learn with each nuptial occasion, the level
of professionalism and expertise of local staff, including wedding
planners, chefs, and florists, blossoms. This allows Thailand to not
only cater to every need and whim of the couple, but also provide
them with a palette with which to create the ideal ceremony.
The Thai-Indian community, which maintains strong connections
with both nations, works as an essential bridge through which the
phenomenal success of the Indian wedding business in Thailand has
grown exponentially. Their support, as well as the support of Masala,
in facilitating these events is recognised and appreciated by the TAT.
We warmly wish them well in all future endeavours.
Sincerely,
