THE PATIENT DID NOT ANTICIPATE
THE PAIN TO BE UNBEARABLE.
A very hard-working 70-year-old, still responsible for construction
work, had not been hindered by his “bowed legs.” However, about
five years ago, he noticed the increasing curvature of his legs and
began experiencing leg pain. “Khun Praman Choengtawee”
initially tried to alleviate the pain by visiting a massage clinic
periodically, continuing with his usual duties. However, the pain
worsened and became unbearable, leading him to seek medical
attention. He shared with the “Comfort Near Doctors” team, “I
didn’t expect it to hurt this much. The pain became so intense that
I felt surgery was necessary. It’s been exactly 5 years, so I realised
I needed to act quickly. When I went to a government hospital,
there were no available surgery slots, and I would have to wait
until next year. Unable to wait, I discussed it with my children,
who encouraged me to proceed with the surgery. With insurance
coverage, I opted for Sukumvit Hospital. After the surgery, I felt
a tremendous sense of relief, like a weight had been lifted off my
shoulders. Just two days after the surgery, I was pain-free. For those
with similar symptoms, seeking treatment is crucial. Even if you
are wealthy, your condition won’t improve without proper surgery
and care. I noticed that my neighbours have also had several
surgeries but not the same minimally invasive procedure I had,
which involved small incisions, less pain, and quicker healing.
I was amazed to see my legs straightened and appreciated the
excellent care from the doctors and nurses. This hospital provided
outstanding service.”
“Dr. Jor Kaew” agrees with the statement from “Khun Praman”,
stating that anyone experiencing similar symptoms who avoids
treatment despite having the means will not find sustained relief.
This is especially true for elderly individuals facing osteoarthritis,
which can lead to bowed knees and severe pain. Immediate KHUN PRAMAN CHOENGTAWEE
treatment is essential to address the issue before it worsens.
