‘Vegabond’ (page 36)
Nina Narisa Phichitsingh is a Business Development Manager at Mintel, where she guides companies on
growth and innovation. She decided to write ‘Vega-bond’ because she’s a strong advocate of the growing vegan
lifestyle and travels extensively for her job. “I have to be prepared and well-researched whenever I travel,” she
says. “The challenge is enjoyable, as my co-workers and friends around the world, teach me about their local
cuisines. I try to not forget to ask them for recipes too. There’s no doubt that (vegan) food has the power to bond
people!”

Masala would like to pay our respects to our

former Associate Editor Caron Lau who passed
away on August 4th after battling her illness

with the same high spirits and optimism that
she brought to work every day. Even though
she was with us for a short time, her positivity

and courage will always be remembered by
our team.
