What are the disadvantages of wearing makeup?
The major downside is clogging of skin pores, accelerating skin aging and even loss of natural beauty.
The e ect also depends on your skin type, i.e. whether you have skin allergies or conditions, quality
of makeup products and how diligent you are in using and removing your cosmetics. The key is to
use in moderation. It is always a good idea to take a break or apply less makeup on some days. Let
your skin shine and don’t believe that makeup is absolutely necessary to look good. Healthy skin is
nature’s ultimate cosmetic.
What recommendations do you have for women to keep their skin naturally vibrant?
This is one of the most frequently asked questions. I have to say that skin is a mirror of your inner
core health. It shines naturally if your core health is balanced and vice versa. For radiant skin, these
are the following tips:
1 You are what you eat: A healthy and balanced diet is crucial. Increase your
consumption of fresh vegetables and fruits, nuts and seeds and skip sugar.
2 Good hydration: Drink at least one and a half to two litres of water a day.
3 Good sleep: Go early to bed and get at least eight hours of sleep per night.
4 Good exercise: Workout regularly for at least 30 minutes, three times a week.
5 Manage stress: Laughter and smiles are the best, cheapest and PB PB
safest cosmetic!
6 Good skin care: Have a complete and consistent skincare routine.
7 7 Treat skin gently: Hot water and long showers remove natural oils from your
skin. Use gentle cleansers and avoid antiseptic soaps. Pat your skin dry
instead of rubbing, and apply your moisturiser shortly after your shower.
8 Sun protection: Use broad spectrum (protects against both UVA and UVB
rays) sunscreen with SPF 15 and above. Apply two ngerbreadths for face
and neck, 15 minutes before sun exposure and reapply every two to three
hours. Seek shade from 10am to 2pm.
