All villas overlook a large lagoon
t felt like stepping into another world, as I was whisked
past the main thoroughfare leading up to the lobby of
I Angsana Villas Resort Phuket. This Beverly Hills-inspired
avenue is lined with palm trees, winding its way past carefully
manicured lawns and terraced villas arranged in tidy rows,
each one with its own personal garage.
My experience with the resort’s superbly friendly staff began Driveway of Angsana Villas Resort Phuket
even before I stepped foot into the chicly-designed lobby.
The airport transfer service was well-executed with the driver
explaining the sights as we headed towards the property,
which is only a short 10-minute drive from Phuket International
Airport. During the scenic drive, I sipped on complimentary
bottled water and indulged in a scented cold towel, a refreshing
experience after a short-haul domestic fl ight. At the lobby,
I was immediately struck by the welcoming open-air design
with cosy sofa seats that dominate the main area, while the
resort’s signature Panache Restaurant, offering international
delicacies, is found to the right.
Two Bedroom Suite
Just beyond the reception area is where shimmering blue
waters of the pool beckons, the wooden decks fl aunting rows
and rows of lounge seating areas, complete with fl uffy pillows.
It exudes exclusivity and tranquillity, and is fi lled with everything
a guest would need on their holiday here. For those that crave
some time by the ocean, the villas are located just a 10-minute
shuttle bus ride away from the main Angsana Laguna Phuket,
with its swanky XANA Beach Club and 3km of beachfront bliss
on the pristine Bang Tao Beach.
XANA Beach Club at Angsana Laguna Phuket
I was checked into the two-storey Two Bedroom Suite, which
offers a kitchenette, as well as a large living and dining area
that can fi t up to six people. The focal point of the room are the
large windows looking out over the lagoon, pool and lobby area.
Upstairs, the master room shares the same spectacular view
with mountains resting peacefully in the background. There is
also a private balcony to lounge on with assorted tables and
chairs. This is the perfect place for families or small groups of
friends to enjoy a secluded slice of island heaven.
