December 2016 Vol. 8 | Issue 3 Dear Masala,

Write to the editor at: I really enjoyed reading the article about Nirmal Singh and his sister Arvindpal

The Rise of Band Singh Bahadur. As someone in their late twenties who is still

wonderful people honing their craft and excelling in this eld. I wish both of them
best of luck with even brighter futures.

                                       Dear Masala,

I must say, the title ‘The Land of Fire & Ice’ itself piqued my interest when
I started reading this article. I see many of my friends and acquaintances
packing their bags and getting ready to travel a long distance to go all the
way to Iceland, so it is nice to nally know what the fuss is all about. And oh
my, Iceland looks darn gorgeous! I really want to travel there next, especially
                                       to see the Blue Lagoon.
                                       – Anju K.

                                       Dear Masala,

I absolutely loved reading ‘The Indian Girl’s Guide to Lipstick’. I don’t know
much about make up nor do I know what shade best suits my dusky skin
complexion. However, I do know that Sejal Sachanakul is a professional and
her recommendations were really inspiring. I usually follow the line ‘When in
doubt, wear red’ – a little too much maybe — but now I can nally wear some
other lipstick shades that will go well with my skin tone.
                                       – Ritika B.

                                       Dear Masala,

The cover story ‘Culinary Tales’ was a delightful and inspirational read. Not
everyone has the luxury of joining their father’s already well-running and
well-established business, as some of us have to earn our way to the top.
And to read about this man’s struggles and dedication in making a name
for himself was fantastic. Please pass my regards to Rohit Sachdev and tell
him that I have been to almost all of his establishments. I love the concept
and service of each and every place.
                                       –Naveen S.

                                       Dear Masala,

I am an avid moviegoer and an unashamed Bollywood fan. I was very happy
to read the article ‘The Good, The Bad and The Ugly’ under the Bollywood
section. However, I do feel that Masala does not cover enough of the
Bollywood industry. I would like to humbly suggest that you make this
feature a permanent one so all of us readers can know more about upcoming
lms and exciting stories about the industry. Please take this suggestion
                                       into consideration. Thank you.
                                       – Avi M.
