When did those opportunities arise?
When was your first exposure to fashion?

Fashion has always been an integral part of
my life. Growing up, it had to be MTV and
catching up on all things new on Marie Claire.
I still remember subscribing to Marie Claire’s
           e-magazine at 13, when social media wasn’t a
thing. But my first major exposure to fashion
was when I started a flight attendant, and
when I first flew to Milan, the “fashion capital
of the world.” The Italians know how to dress
in incredibly stylish ways, while staying cozy
           and warm without looking casual.

What or who inspires your personal style,
and who are your style icons?

My style is very culturally influenced. As for
the latter, House of MISU by Mitali and
Summiyya. Those two influencers are serving
looks, and they consistently keep up with the
           fleeting nature of fashion.

           What are your favourite brands/fashion
             houses?
I don’t have a favourite brand. Over the past
two years, my body has had some beautiful
shifts with pregnancy. I went from gradually
gaining weight to now losing it, to going back
to my pre-pregnancy body. I scour through a lot
of brands and shops to see what I like, and what
makes sense. But if there is one brand where I
can always find something for most occasions,
it’s Pomelo. Updating my wardrobe with their
‘tap, try, buy’ service has been seamless.

Do you have a favourite red-carpet
             moment?
It was actually last year, just weeks after I had
given birth. Alia Bhatt in her gold metallic
cape gown by Gauri and Nainika, with
‘minimal’ makeup, left me in awe. I guess it
was her happiness that made her glow!

Any style tips for our readers?

Confidence is key. As Diane von Furstenberg
states, “If you have it, you can make anything
look good!” Just go out there, find out what
works best for your shape, and highlight
           your features. Remember, fashion is for all;
regardless if you are curvy, tall, or petite, some
styles complement every figure. Explore and
