Smoky in colour, mysterious in appearance, and bold
enough for the audience to know who the groom is!
Needless to say, all brides require support. There are
many ways to help her maintain a calm and collected
demeanour, instead of turning into bridezilla! We share
seven tips for grooms to put into practice.
Check in with your bride: Send her messages offering
your listening ear or helping hand a few weeks prior to
the wedding. Daily texts, regardless of how repetitive
they may be, might mean the world to her, as we know
something unexpected always comes up during the
planning process.
Let her pick all her outfits before you pick yours:
Women’s clothes tend to be specific and elaborate,
while menswear is narrowed down to fewer style
options. It will be easier for you to match hers, rather
than vice versa.
Offer your pockets: We all know lehengas and gowns
do not have pockets, so offer to keep your bride's
lipstick, phone, or whatever she may need!
Watch your step: This season’s style is getting longer
and dreamier. Be cautious of stepping on her attire,
especially while making an entrance.
Smile, you are on camera: Acknowledge that it
probably took her three to four times the amount of
time it took for you to get ready. So if she wants to take
plenty of pictures with you and your guests, be a sport
and smile.
Surprise her: Whether it’s a speech, a funny video,
a short performance with your families, a wedding
gift or a special guest from overseas, a surprise at a
moment like this would be unforgettable. If she feels
overwhelmed by the sheer amount of guests or from a
technical difficulty, then your surprise could easily save
the mood or the day.
Read her list: All brides have at least one massive
checklist! If possible, ask her to share it with you and
read it together. This will help you grasp what she needs
to do, and where you can help.
