          The Acolyte (Disney+ Hotstar)

Hot on the heels of recent Disney+ television
successes, The Acolyte becomes the latest addition
to the expansive Star Wars universe. Marred with
shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers
during the final days of the High Republic era, a
century before Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom
Menace (1999), the series follows a respected Jedi
Master who investigates a series of crimes that lead
to a surprising encounter with a former Padawan,
revealing a greater sinister force. The series stars
Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto,
Dafne Keen, and Carrie-Anne Moss, and is directed

          Mothers’ Instinct (Amazon Prime Video)
Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain star in
        veteran cinematographer Benoît Delhomme’s
directorial debut. Mothers’ Instinct is a psychological
thriller set in a 1960s suburb, where the lives of
next-door neighbours Celine (Hathaway) and Alice
(Chastain) are shaken to the core by a tragic event
surrounding their children. The harmonious dynamic
of the two best friends is thrown off-course as guilt,
suspicion, and paranoia take over, shattering a once-
unshakable sisterly bond. Based on the novel of the
same name by Barbara Abel, this adaptation aims
to captivate the audience with its vintage aesthetics
        and dark suburban tale.

between cautious political strategy and outright

factions, nicknamed ‘the Blacks’, those who back
the former; and ‘the Greens’, supporters led by
Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) who wish to keep
Rhaenyra’s half-brother, Aegon II Targaryen, the
ruler of Westeros. As tempers flare, newly hired

a kitchen. While the previous season focused on the
various aspects outside the restaurant, maintaining
the fast-paced tempo, the latest season will focus
more on the functionality of Carmy’s restaurant,

the menu before their grand opening.
