Undoubtedly the most talked about Indian celebrity wedding of
2017, ace cricketer and Bollywood diva, after weeks of will-
they-won’t-they, tied the knot in a private ceremony in Tuscany,
Italy. In a country where Bollywood and cricket are considered
nothing less than religions, it wasn’t surprising when pictures
of their wedding ceremony broke the internet. The pair, dubbed
“Virushka” by Indian media, hosted a close-knit ceremony and
made it public only after the ceremonies were completed.
While their nuptials weren’t ‘big’ in the way Indian weddings are
understood to be, they still set a new benchmark in ultra-luxury
Indian weddings by wearing Sabyasachi couture ensembles
and jewellery, having catering by celebrity chef Ritu Dalmia, and
fresh fl owers all the way from Holland.

with three witnesses — Randhir Kapoor, Babita Kapoor
and Sharmila Tagore — comprised of neither the ‘nikaah’

of wedding vows. Bebo wore Saif’s grandmother’s
refurbished traditional gharara, and later changed into
a gorgeous Manish Malhotra burgundy embellished
gharara, while Saif decided to opt for a Benarasi brocade
achkan by designer Raghavendra Rathore. With a
wedding expenditure of 10 crores, the pre-wedding
bash was a
