collections, bright red cushion and remodel her apartment on the 12th fl oor of Kallista Mansion into a home
where she and her family have resided for the past eight years. Today, as you
covers and yellow lighting lies step into the apartment, you are welcomed to a combination of various styles,
the Karamchandani’s calm colours and Buddha artefacts that fi t together perfectly. Design aspects of
one area lead to another, each expressively telling a story of Sonal’s creativity
and nurturing abode. and personal beliefs.
By Praphanit Doowa When asked to begin the tour, Sonal unexpectedly took us into her and her
husband’s bathroom, where we saw a stylish sofa-style toilet. “The highlight
of my room is my toilet,” she says with a smile. “People normally spend a lot
furnishing their TV room, but I decided to go all out with my bathroom. After all,
men spend a lot of time in there.” Personalised white towels engraved with the
couple’s name hang inside the beautiful white bathroom that evokes a spa-
like ambiance. Simple and neat, this characteristic also extends to the master
bedroom, and the rest of the apartment.
